Skirt Talk: CATCHING UP WITH DESHAWN SNOW AFTER REAL HOUSE WIVES OF ATLANTA

First of all I will start by saying DeShawn is one of my favorite Real House Wives period, she has a genuine personality and didn't do it for television. She never got caught up in any of the "catty" unnecessary DRAMA! Well unfortunately BRAVO preferred the DRAMA and decided to let her go after the first season. Too bad for BRAVO!!! Shortly after she was released from the show DeShawn had all kinds of drama in her personal life, for one her marriage started falling apart when she found out her husband Eric of over twelve years had a mistress who gave birth to their daughter. Eric was so supportive and he seemed to be in love on the show but apparently he was doing it for television because I heard behind the scenes he was a BIG JERK! It's been said that he was very disrespectful towards DeShawn and he also excepted phone calls from other women which he would take in front of everyone and on more than one occassion he would have to be reminded that the cameras are rolling. Needless to say 2010 was a hard year for the reality show diva but she took it in stride, she lost 30lbs, she started shopping her and Eric's three sons in a television venture with the Disney network. I have to give her credit for maintaining her dignity through all the rumors circulating about her failed marriage. On a brighter note DeShawn is still fully committed to her non-profit organization The DeShawn Snow Foundation’s mission is to empower teenage girls to overcome academic, social and emotional difficulties so that they can reach their full potential. The goal is to provide teenage girls with the opportunity to become prominent leaders in our society by giving them the tools necessary to achieve excellence in all facets of their lives.
