WATCH YOUR BACK!

What are you willing to do to get ahead? Are you willing to go the extra mile, let your hard work speak for itself or do you think it's necessary to hate or back stab the next shining star? Is the saying "there's nothing personal about business" really true? Well in my opinion business is personal think about it, at the end of the day we're all people with an opinion and a right to choose if we "like" a person or not! Now how many people have worked in a controlled environment where the higher ups spoon feed the under dogs because they feel threatened by their ambitions or the potential to be the NEXT ONE UP! Oh don't look surprised, this goes on everyday all day! If you haven't experienced this, you're lucky but I think most organizations are like this to a certain extent. Most times we don't make our personal feelings known, if you can get the opportunity to choose who you want to work with or put into a certain position or give a lead to you do it, that's just  how business works. It's not what you know it's who you know in most situations when it comes to advancement and opportunity. Then what about the people in positions of "power" who have the leverage to help and instead of helping they insist on blowing smoke up your ass telling you wait your turn, your almost there but my question is how long are you supposed to wait on your turn??? This is why I am a firm believer in stepping on toes but not burning bridges YES there is a BIG difference when you step on toes maybe you and another person have a similar idea or style or network but your grind is a little bit HARDER so being human a person may feel some kind of emotion behind your advancement! Now BURNING BRIDGES  is a different situation you burn the bridge knowing you won't ever take that path again I feel like this is BAD BUSINESS you don't ever want a reputation for BURNING BRIDGES because what some folks seem to forget is the person you burned still has a VOICE and can put the word out about your BUSINESS ETHICS! I've said that to say this in business LIKE EVERYONE & TRUST NO ONE! WATCH YOUR BACK..... And remember the people who helped you along the way because once you go up YOU gotta come DOWN.
